


Game Facilities
The game facility committed for the Citizens Bank Bowl is one of the top NCAA Division II facilities in the nation. Pittsburg State University’s Carnie Smith Stadium provides a fantastic venue for the event, and game operations under the supervision of an experienced team of personnel will ensure the best possible experience for players, coaches and fans. The artificial playing surface ensures competitive play in all weather conditions.
The stadium has played host to a number of NCAA Division II Post-Season events and was recently selected as the host site of the 2010 Kansas Shrine Bowl Game. Carnie Smith Stadium received a $5.7 million expansion in 2001 that included:

- Permanent seating for more than 8,000 fans
- Luxury Skyboxes
- Major improvements to locker room facilities
- New restrooms, concessions and ticket booth facilities
- Improvements to ADA accessibility
- A new media room for interviews and visiting press.
In 2008, another amenity was added to the game day experience at Carnie Smith Stadium with a new video display board that incorporates internet streaming video technology.
