


Game Location: Pittsburg, Kansas
Pittsburg is located on US Highway 69 in southeastern Kansas and is a community with a population of approximately 20,000. Historic buildings, the campus of Pittsburg State University, art museums and golf courses dot the area that grew as a coal mining area and continued to develop as a seat of county government and agricultural trade center. The community is centrally located between the metropolitan areas of Kansas City, Missouri; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Wichita, Kansas; and Springfield, Missouri. Consequently, the city is accessible by a short drive from several major airports and is accessible by ground transportation for teams choosing to charter.
- From Kansas City: Take US-69 South (approximately 108 miles.)
- From Joplin: Take MO-171 West (KS-57) to US-69 North to Pittsburg (approximately 31 miles)
- From Tulsa: Take I-44 East to US-69 North (Exit 301). Take US-69 North to Pittsburg (approximately 135 miles.)
- From Wichita: Take US-400 East to US-69 North (approximately 168 mi.)
The Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau have committed involvement in the hosting of this event. With the help of these two organizations and their volunteer base, the participating teams and their fans will experience southeastern Kansas hospitality and assistance that will make their visit to the community a memory for a lifetime.
